Episode 8: Rush Hour Too Much Good Stuff

On this latest episode of Subject To Blackout Mike and I talk about our fond appreciation for the honest-to-goodness delight that is the 2001 buddy-cop classic, Rush Hour 2.

Then, we discus our profound disappointment in the 2021 Lollapalooza lineup. Mike and I met in high school, but we became so close in the following years based on our profoundly similar tastes in pop culture and that was exemplified by our passionate exploration of the mid-to-late aughts music scene in Chicago.

Lollapalooza in those days were our Christmas and Birthdays combined and to see the sad state is has declined to since Mike moved to China and I stopped attending has been a bummer to say the least. We discuss how Chicago's Riotfest and Pitchfork music festivals have picked up the torch where Perry Ferrell dropped it.

Finally, we talk about the underrated and underappreciated filmography of John McTiernan and how we (read: Tímo) need to revisit his classic films in upcoming episodes of Subject To Blackout.
